De Kirkland à l' Anse à l'Orme et Cap-Saint-Jacques

On Sunday, May 16, Chris will lead a special walk half urban and half Nature.

This 12 km loop will bring us on a shared road from Kirkland to l'Anse-à-l'Orme nature Park and then to Cap-St.jacques Nature Park. it will take us 2 h 30 to do the whole loop.

We will meet at 9 a.m. in the Kirkland Cineplex parking lot for a departure at 9:10 a.m.

You can see the approximative route here. We will take shortcuts through the woods but they don't show on the Google maps route.

The group will be limited to 8 people (plus the leader) according to Quebec public health guidelines.

The deadline for registration is Friday May 14, at 6:00 p.m. A confirmation email will be sent to you before 12:30 pm on Saturday, May 15..

Only ACTIVE members are allowed to register for this hike. We are not accepting any guests at this time.

Members should have their card at each hike. The membership fees have to be paid by check or by Interac.

N.B. Guests are welcome and members are encouraged to invite interested individuals who can participate in our sanctioned activities once for free. Guests must register at invite-guest@lesrara.ca. After one free event, returning guests will be invited to join the Ramblers Association and pay the annual membership fee. Those people who, after using their free pass want to participate but not join will be obliged to pay $10 per outing.

All persons who participate in a Ramblers Club activity acknowledge having read, understood and accepted theClub’s policies and waiver, as posted on the website at www.lesrara.ca, and agree to abide by them.

NOTICE: Ramblers Association hikes are held rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions, such as an ice storm or thunderstorms. If a hike is cancelled for these reasons an email will be sent to all members and other people on our mailing list one (1) hour before the event is due to start. This cancellation notice will also appear on our website.

Report:

It ws a beautiful sunny day. We walked through the l'Anse de Lorme woods, and along some streets. The beach at the Cap was filled with picnicers.We hiked 13 km. in total
