This hike is intermediate, but some of you would call it intermediate+. Bring your poles, snowshoes and crampons. We will adapt to the trail conditions. You also have to bring a lunch and water for the day. You can eat a snack on the summit. We will have lunch at "refuge le Grand-Duc".

 Rendezvous: We meet at 7:50 AM in the parking lot of the Vaudreuil shopping centre between Super C and Canadian Tire – at the corner of Cité-des-Jeunes and Blvd. St-Charles, for an 8 AM departure. To join us on this hike you must register on  LIST D.

Hwy 15N; exit 89 for QC-329; drive 24,5 km, then turn left on to Chemin Régimbald; drive 13,2 km, the parking will be on your left at 1709.

The hike will start at 10:00 a.m.

We should be back at the parking by 2:00 p.m. and back at the shopping center by 4:00 p.m.

Remember to bring trekking poles, water and a lunch.  Fortify yourself with a good breakfast before leaving home.

Members should have their card at each hike. The membership fees have to be paid by check or by Interac.

N.B. Guests are welcome and members are encouraged to invite interested individuals who can participate in our sanctioned activities once for free. Guests must register at After one free event, returning guests will be invited to join the Ramblers Association and pay the annual membership fee. Those people who, after using their free pass want to participate but not join will be obliged to pay $10 per outing.

All persons who participate in a Ramblers Club activity acknowledge having read, understood and accepted theClub’s policies and waiver, as posted on the website at, and agree to abide by them.

NOTICE: Ramblers Association hikes are held rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions, such as an ice storm or thunderstorms. If a hike is cancelled for these reasons an email will be sent to all members and other people on our mailing list one (1) hour before the event is due to start. This cancellation notice will also appear on our website.


Ce fut une randonnée parfaite!

Le voyage a été facile avec une chaussée sèche et une circulation fluide. Nous avons débuté la randonnée à 10h00 tel que prévu. Les premiers 1,5 km avaient été ouvert mécaniquement. Sur les 3,6 km suivant, seulement deux raquetteurs avaient emprunté le sentier. Il y avait de 20 à 25 cm de neige fraiche. Ce qui était très agréable dans les descentes abruptes. À notre arrivée au refuge il y avait seulement deux occupants. Le poêle chauffait déjà. Ce fut un agréable diner au chaud. Sur le chemin du retour vers le stationnement la marche a été facile. Nous avons parcouru 7,5 km en 3h44 incluant 30 minutes pour le diner.
