Located in the Upper Laurentians, this park along the Doncaster River offers over 10 km. of mechanically groomed trails for winter activities. The Doncaster River Park was once the site of a dam operated by Hydro Quebec, the Doncaster Dam. Within the park are several places equipped for relaxation with benches or picnic tables. There are over 10km. of marked trails from which to observe the beauty and richness of flora and fauna. In winter, two heated shelters are available. There are points where one can gaze at Mount Gabriel and enjoy the panoramic landscape of the city of Sainte Adele. ** Note, although most trails are fairly flat, there is one trail that leads up to the view point. Therefore, hiking up this trail is required. If you take your time, should be suitable for most except if you have problems with your knees or poor cardiovascular conditioning.
