This is a flat easy trail with a side trail leading to and away from the beach. We will walk alongside  Sauvagine Lake.  A short part of the trail is paved and shared with bikes. It is about 14 km long.

We will walk toward the beach, enjoy a picnic lunch on the banks of the lake and will finish, for those interested, on the Sentier écologique de la Grande-Baie.  There, we can go to the observation tower and walk along the boardwalk through the marsh. The trail is a 3 km loop and is an easy walk.
