On Saturday, August 22, join the Ramblers on a hike on the Montfortaine trails.

La Montfortaine is located in Montfort village, on the banks of Saint-François-Xavier Lake. There are numerous possibilities of trails we can explore.

These trails are suitable for beginner and intermediate hikers and offer an opportunity to experience the enchanting tranquility of nature on public land.

From our rendezvous at the Community recreation pavilion, the Montfort white chapel, we will head to the yellow trail via Clark Street.

The trails traverse diverse ecosystems from maple groves to damp environments. Interpretative panels line the Mauve trail.

Suggested: Bring insect repellent, sunscreen; good hiking shoes and trekking poles can be helpful as we hike around a lot of damp areas.  We advise you to bring a 2nd pair of footwear for the return trip as the trails can be muddy.

You may bring a snack and a light lunch for a picnic in the woods.

Mandatory: Water for the day.

Facilities: Toilet in the pavilion.
