Sentiers de la Presqu'île and Grand-Coteau Park

Leaders: Anne & Édith

Degree of Difficulty: Intermediate (Niveaux de difficulté des randonnées)

Duration : Approximately  3 hr in the morning and 2 hr in the afternoon.

On Saturday Feb. 7, Anne and Édith offer you an exciting day hike in two parks that the Ramblers have never yet explored.

In the morning, we will set off to discover  the magnificent Grand Coteau Park in Mascouche .  There, we will hike the Intense trail (4.9km) which winds its way through the forest and alongside a brook within a bucolic landscape.

Then we will take our cars and will head off to  the Presqu’ile trails where we will have a snack. You can bring your lunch or eat at the restaurant which offers a simple menu to a reasonnable price.

After lunch,  we will hike the snowshoe trails which wind their way through stands of maples, fir trees and cedars.  Along these trails, if you are observant, you may spot  the habitats of the animals which inhabit these woods. Please note that dogs are permitted on these trails.

The entry fee for the Presqu’ile trails is $6 per person. These fees will be paid by the Ramblers Club for all those who are members in good standing.  To benefit from this, we ask that you register on the  list so we can plan for the number of persons who will be participating on this day hike.

Dress for the weather, in layers and bring a snack and lunch (if you wish). Remember to bring water – even in winter.   Bring also your poles and crampons if needed.
