REPORT:

It was a great outing!

We were 13 hikers, 2 were guests. The trails were covered with hard packed snow. So we wore only boots and cleats. The temperature was 2°C and the winds were light. In the morning the group stayed together. We walked a loop on the trail called “La Roche” (5 km).

At 12:30 we were back at the “Centre-de-la-Découverte”. That is where we had lunch. It really was a Christmas feast. The food and the company were great. We brought the food. It lasted an hour.

In the afternoon, the group divided in two. Group “A” for the speedos and group “B” for the Zen. Group “A” went up and down the Ouache for a distance of 7 km. We discovered that this trail is not very interesting for hikers on snowshoes or boots, but it was quite an exercise (1h54). Meanwhile group “B” walked a loop 5 km long on the trail called “Lac-des-Femmes”. They loved it.

Both groups left the park at 3:45 pm.
