This excursion is not sanctioned by the Ramblers Association.
It is a personal offer from Claude and Michèle to the members of the club.
Just like when we offer you to join us at the pub for a beer.
So if you dont wear your personal flottaison device and drown, dont blame the club, blame yourself.

Several members of the club have a kayak or canoe. Others have expressed  interest in this type of activity.  Michèle and I offer you the opportunity to join us on the nautical trail located in Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville. If you prefer dry land hiking, in two weeks Edith will lead a similar hike, but on dry land.

For kayak and canoe rental, it's first come first served.

Directions:

Take Highway 40 E toward Montréal. Take exit 80S for Highway 25 S toward Tunnel L.-H.- La Fontaine. Merge onto Highway 25 S

Take exit 1 toward Île Charron/Îles de Boucherville. Turn right onto Rue de l'Île Charron

Slight left to stay on Rue de l'Île Charron. Turn left onto Chemin Île Sainte Marguerite.

$ The park's entrance fee is $6.50.

After paddling for 4 km we will stop for a rest and a snack. At the end of the excursion, you can have a full picnic and enjoy the other park's facilities. Here is the map showing the trail with its markers from 1 to 10.

I suggest that you wear shoes that can go in the water.  Bring plenty of drinking water. Have some sort of protection from the sun. Bring your lunch if you are planning on staying to picnic on site.
