REPORT:

11 brave hikers attended this hike. All were quite pleased with it. The scenery was magnificent and the rest areas were adequate.

At the Cascade we split in two. 7 took the blue trail called “Lac Rémi”. The other 4 went around Mont Barrière. Now that trail should be avoided during the summer because of the mosquitos. But in the winter it would be nice on snowshoes. Both groups completed the hike in about 5 hours.

The trip to the park was uneventful (2 hours). On our way back a tragic accident closed route 131, our only way out of the region. So we had to sample the local cuisine. We went to La Marmite Gourmande. The food was good. During the evening the route was reopened. We were back in Vaudreuil at 22h00.
