 REPORT:

Fifteen members got together for a snowshoe hile in the woods of Île-Perrot. The weather was perfect but the snow was hard on top and soft under the frozen crust.

We crossed Forest St and took trail # 10.  on the way, I lost the trail and we turned around for a few minutes; the hikers made fun of me!

After coming back on the  «right track», people felt better. It is sad to see a lot  of animal dung on the trails.

While descending a hill, a fallen tree was blocking the path; we stopped for some water while hikers took their time to pass over the tree with their snowshoes on.

When we crossed Pincourt Blvd, a poice car stopped and cleared the way for us. The hikers thanked me for this thought!

A couple of years ago, a tunnel was crossing under the road at this point. It is now blocked for some unknown reasons. On the other side of the Boulevard, the hike went on until a playground park wher eI usually stop. But as the hikers suggested, I continued to ''explore'' until we had to stop because of the many branches on the ground. We stopped for a family picture.

We then headed back on Pincourt Blvd to end the hike.We walked from 9:10 until 11:00. Before entering the woods, I suggested to walk a km on the golf course to warm up, but nobody was enthusiastic about this warm up because of the strong wind, so we ignored it.

At the very end of the hike, we had walked 5.8 km. I intend to offer this hike again next year.
