On Saturday, June 1st, the  Ramblers Association invite you to the discovery of the Boucherville Islands.
 
This one day hike is easy.
 
 
Hike description:
 
  • From the Discovery and Visistors Centre, we  will take La Grande-Rivière trail to L'Île-Sainte-Marguerite (4km)
  • We will head toward the cable ferry (1.5km)  to reach L'Ile-de-la-Commune
  • L'Île-de-la-Commune to L'Île-aux-Raisins (3.8km);
  • We will take our lunch on L'Île-aux-Raisins (3.5km),  after a walk of about 11 km
  • We will head back to the center by half of L'Île-aux-Raisins (1.5km) + part of L'Île-de-la-Commune 1.1km + cable ferry + 1km to reach the Center.
 
   
 
Take Autoroute 40 E toward Montréal. Take exit 80S for Autoroute 25 S/Trans Canada Highway toward Autoroute 20/Tunnel L.-H.- La Fontaine. Merge onto Autoroute 25 S
Take exit 1 toward Île Charron/Îles de Boucherville. Turn right onto Rue de l'Île Charron
Slight left to stay on Rue de l'Île Charron. Turn left onto Chemin Île Sainte Marguerite
 
 
 
We will meet at the Discovery and Visitors Centre at 9:00 am.
There is a parking where you will have to pay the $6.50 entrance fee ($5.75 for a partie of 15 people or more).
 
 
Carpooling is possible. To give us an idea of how many people will attend, please enter your name on the LIST and specify if you will need carpooling.
 
 
Do not forget to bring a lunch and water for the whole day.

Members should have their card at each hike. The membership fees have to be paid by check only.
 
N.B. Guests are welcome and members are encouraged to invite interested individuals who can participate in our sanctioned activities once for free. Guests must register at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
After one free event, returning guests will be invited to join the Ramblers Association and pay the annual membership fee. Those people who, after using their free pass want to participate but not join will be obliged to pay $10 per outing.
All persons who participate in a Ramblers Club activity acknowledge having read, understood and accepted the Club’s policies and waiver, as posted on the website at www.lesrara.ca, and agree to abide by them.
 
NOTICE: Ramblers Association hikes are held rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions, such as an ice storm of thunderstorms. If a hike is cancelled for these reasons an email will be sent to all members and other people on our mailing list one (1) hour before the event is due to start. This cancellation notice will also appear on our website.
