St.Lazare Pinery Hike

On Sunday, March 3rd the Ramblers  invite you to a 7 km snowshoe hike which should last about 3 hours  in the beautiful La Pinière nature park.

Snowshoes and trekking poles are recommended. Dress for the weather, in layers; bring water or juice and have a good breakfast before you come out.

Rendezvous in the parking of the Base de plein air des Cèdres (J7T 1E4), at 9:00 am for a 9:10 am departure.

Members should have their card at each hike. The membership fees may be paid by cheque or with Paypal.

N.B. Guests are welcome and members are encouraged to invite interested individuals who can participate in our sanctioned activities once for free. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. After one free event, returning guests will be invited to join the Ramblers Association and pay the annual membership fee. Those people who, after using their free pass want to participate but not join will be obliged to pay $10 per outing.

All persons who participate in a Ramblers Club activity acknowledge having read, understood and accepted the Club’s policies and waiver, as posted on the website at www.lesrara.ca, and agree to abide by them.

NOTICE: Ramblers Association hikes are held rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions, such as an ice storm or thunderstorms. If a hike is cancelled for these reasons an email will be sent to all members and other people on our mailing list one (1) hour before the event is due to start. This cancellation notice will also appear on our website.

REPORT:

We were 18 participants, one was a guest. The hike went well. It took us 2 hours 28 minutes to walk 7.2 km. After the hike eight of us went to Bravo’s for dinner.

This hike was possible because Christine, Marc and Michèle helped me clear the trail after the last two snow storms. Thanks a lot guys (gals).
