We will make an easy circuit of the golf course of about 3 km to enable new and veteran snowshoers to find their snow-legs. It will be on open ground, so you will be able to return to your car at any time. When we return to the parking, for those who wish to do more, we can make another circuit of the same length on a different route.

If you are new to snowshoeing you will be very welcome. There will be plenty of experienced members to help you. We just ask that you familiarize yourself with the bindings of your snowshoes and know how to put them on and take them off.

If you do not have snowshoes yet, but would like to try out the sport, you can rent a pair from Pascal Chevrier at Village Cycle Hudson, 38 Yacht Club Road, Hudson, 450-458-7401.

We look forward to seeing everyone on January 20th.

REPORT:

Snowshoe Hike January 20, 2013.

Amid strong blustery winds and occasional driving ice-pellet squalls, twelve hardy members of the Club turned up for the first "official" snowshoe hike of 2013.

Everybody was well dressed for the conditions and we hiked three kilometers around Whitlock Golf Club's "north" nine holes.

Following two days of snowfall, the snow conditions were excellent and we broke our own trail, giving much needed exercise to the leg muscles.

sign no animals  Please take note that pets are not allowed on hikes.

Members should have their card at each hike. The membership fees have to be paid by check or by Interac.
