Join us for a snowshoe hike in the woods of the Morgan Arboretum, a 245-hectare forested reserve, situated on the McGill University Macdonald Campus in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on the western tip of the island of Montreal. Because the weather has been so unusual, bring your trekking poles, snowshoes and crampons for your hiking boots – we will decide on the day, which we will use.

P.S. You may want to bring along a handful of sunflower seeds for the chickadees who may be coaxed to eat out of your hand.

Note: Bring your drinking water as there is no potable water at the Arboretum.

We have to inform the Arboretum that we come as a group. So iti is important that you register on this LIST, wether you carpool or not.

$ For this hike, the Ramblers Association will pay the entry fees for all its members in good standing, this is why it is important to register on the list above.

$ Guests must stop at the gatehouse (which opens at 9 a.m.)  to pay the $9 entry fee then proceed to the 2nd parking lot.  With this pass you are able to spend the entire day at the park (there are cross country ski trails if you have lots of energy to burn).

We will start the hike around 9:15 a.m.

Note: Bring your drinking water as there is no potable water at the Arboretum.

Facilities: There is a washroom in the building by the 2nd  parking lot.

Carpooling:

Rendezvous at 8:20 in the parking lot of the shopping Centre in Vaudreuil, between the Super C and Canadian Tire, at the corner of the Cité-des-jeunes and Boul. St-Charles, for a departure at 8:30 a.m.

If you carpool (driver or passenger) you have to indicate it on the LIST above.

Dress for the weather, in layers and bring your water bottle.
